I am here, I have been a very busy girl. Things are crazy in the Cab house. We have learned that we have a Grand Daughter who is 5 years old. Can't make up for the last 5 years that we missed of her life, but, we can sure be the best Grand Parents for the rest of our lives.
Then we got Legal Guardianship of Willie. That was Huge, and very important for this little man.
I'm still alive and kickin'. Guess thats whats important :)

First off i like to say congratulations on your Grand Daughter.
Even though you missed that time with her, you have plenty of time to get to know your grand daughter & to love her. :)

Haha, Where have I been. I took a nasty fall on the ice, Sunday, lost my glasses, injured my neck and back. Blah.
Found the glasses where I fell. I didn't even know I had them on. It knocked me silly. LOL
But I am a bit better now, I had the day off for Christmas and I got some much needed rest.

I was in Vegas 12/14 thru 12/19 for my annual December Vegas trip :)
Stayed at  New York, New York casino this trip.
(yeah, I know, missed the whole NASCAR shenanigans by a week).

Been organizing and packing my husband for the past week - looks as though he is reporting to Ft. Hood in January.  He is retiring in July, but he has orders to go to Texas til June (kinda stupid if you ask me).

Hello!

I know that I have not been here for a long time. There are many reasons for that.
But when NJB sent me a notification of the 2014 YAHOO Fantasy League, I thought that I would pop in and say hello. So...

HELLO!!!

Happy New Year, y'all!
SPIT!

Been a member here for a long while, but never posted much. I'm going to try and remedy that though.

Looks like activity has taken a fall, but who's to say it won't recover?

I think it mirrors the sentiment of NASCAR as a whole.
It just hasn't been the same since Little Brian took over.
I have said many times, the Cup series looks more like IROC now days.
There are ways to make it more exciting, but Little Brian is not smart enough to listen.
Oh well............ :P
Heeeer's yur sign!!!

True, I look at the early 2000's as what NASCAR could be producing right now when it comes to the on-track racing. I thought we were headed back towards that when Gordon and Johnson had a great duel at Atlanta in 2011, then when Brad Keselowski won the title in 2012 by showing the #48 team he wasn't afraid to race them hard.

But then in 2013 we were back to the same old stuff. Brad let his champion status go to his head and was no threat whatsoever to stop Jimmie from last year's title.

I hope NASCAR does revert back to what it was even 10 years ago, but it's not looking good right now. Stores in my area used to have tons of NASCAR stuff, but now there's nothing except for #48/#24/#88/#14 coolers.

I myself don't think the racing is terrible, but there is no denying that it could be a lot better. I still watch races as many weeks as I can, but unlike the past, I no longer think it's the end of the world when I do miss a race.

I love racing too. But as Sign said, the racing is not what it used to be. I know they had to make the cars safer. But they did not have to make them cookie cutter cars either. They have gotten better in the last few years compared to the earlier COT cars. But they are really the same cars with a few differences to try and appease the fans. They have tweaked that Chase thing in an attempt to appease fans. But myself I hate the whole thing and want it to go away. I'm sure I'm not alone in my thoughts about what needs to be fixed if NASCAR wants to gain it's fan base back.

Tweaking the Chase was stupid to do. Fans were just starting to warm up to the Chase we had had since 2004. Adding an elimination process is no way to crown a champion.

Honestly, the best points system was the one we had before the Chase was implemented, because that one was the most fair. It awarded you for what you did all season, not just over 5-10 races.
