I am not concerned right now about gas prices. I am but, We need to be concerned that our farmers aren't able to get into the fields to plant crops.  If they don't get them planted soon, we won't have good crops to harvest this fall.  We continue to get rain, there is more in the forecast, and the fields are already water logged.

Which brings me to gas, there won't be much E85 available either.

Remember this short video I took for Shiny.  This is what our fields continue to look like.

Caboo....Think of all that wonderfull crop land going towards fuel in your car instead of food on the table at a reasonable price and then tell me that Ethenol is logical.....It hurts everyone exept the farmer and the government.

As for the prioce of gas here.....hust gone up yesterday, once all converted over to U.S. $5.21 a gallon!

Peace: It's the short period of time between running out of amo and reloading.

 Mr #3 how much of that price is tax?
 We pay 38 cents in La. 18 is federal, everywhere, the rest is state.

 I know some places in Europe the tax is more than the gas.
If at first you don't succeed, destroy all evidence that you tried.

As soon as I get a chance I will take some pics of what the Larger farmers are doing.  They are making these huge Siloes and storing the corn for E85 Use.  Once these facilities are filled then they take the rest of the crops to the Graineries.  The farmers are hauling the corn directly to the factories for a better profit.

And it's all about that PROFIT and not about how much they put food on the market anymore.

Sad when farmers turn to fuel makers and the price of food is just out of reach for some now and most later.

Honestly, I can't say if I'm for or against the use of corn for fuel.  But, I do know that if there is other ways for us to cut fuel costs then by all means someone should be speaking up.  ForInstance;

There was a man who invented a system that would allow your vehicle to burn water, any water, dirty, salt, faucet.

Whether it works or not, I don't know, but isn't it worth the try  ???

I live in Orange County, CA I put premium in my cars.

Yesterday I saw $4.19.9 for Premium at a Shell station. ARCO had Premium for $4.09.9 - but I won't buy ARCO.

Good news is, Stater Bros. had bone-in ribeyes on sale for $3.99 / pound! (I bought six!!!)
SPIT!
