I am courious if y'all are feeling the same way about NASCAR as I am.
I will post my 2 cents next week.

I'm just wanting to check the pulse of the fans  ;)

NASCAR Talk! / Re: Question - Win & In The Chase
« on: March 20, 2014, 10:32:42 AM »
All races have to be attempted to get into the Chase, so a part-time driver wouldn't be able to get into the Chase. So, if a full time driver, qualifies, starts the race and gets out, a replacement driver gets in and wins the race, the full time driver gets credited with the win and would be qualified to be in the Chase.

Thank you!!!
It will be interesting at the road courses with the "ringers".
Possible Chinesse fire drill on the first pit stop. ???

I loved the three wide racing on a shot track, it was exciting to watch.

I can see why you like, but I think the majority of fans stand with me and Racing Rocks.
It just doesn't "move me in my seat" like it use to when someone would pull up behind my driver and give the nudge........then give the nudge again...........then move them out of the way.
To me, the drivers had to really show their talent in those conditions.
Not to mention, if they couldn't "run" after the "bump", the same thing would happen to them.

So for me, it's become a slower version of the mile and a half tracks.
Or, the LBJ freeway in Dallas.............bob and weave..........bob and weave :P

I also have to say......
I am not a fan of "3-wide racing" at Bristol.

I kinda miss the "old bump and run"  :'(

NASCAR Talk! / Question - Win & In The Chase
« on: March 13, 2014, 10:45:09 AM »
What happens if a part-time driver wins in someone elses car?
Who gets the spot in The Chase?

Is it the driver or the car that gets in?

OK, I can't figure out how to insert photos!!! Can someone enlighten me please?

Save your pictures on your computer.
Click reply.
Under the box you type your post in is: + Attachments and other options
Click on that, then click browse.
In the window that pops up, go to where you saved your pictures.
Double click the picture you want to post and it will fill in the box.
Click more attachments for more pictures.

I added one of my favorites to make sure it would work.  ;)

I like Kurt, too bad his brother is an idiot. ;)

Remember..............both of those fruits fell from the same tree.
It wasn't that long ago Kurt was the "biggest idiot".
Just ask Jimmy Spencer........ ;)

I think his eyes look like those on my avatar

I think he has been dipping into Kyle Busch's Monster Energy drinks.
I'm sure the sponsor loads them up on the stuff.

Doubtful, Not on Jr's side anyway. He is the Bridesmaid, Never the Bride.

But I'm sure Little Brian is thinking of the revenue from another "Earnhart" being the "so called" champion.
Drivers or teams are not allowed to manipulate outcomes..............but he can. >:(

NASCAR Talk! / Re: New qualifying format for 2014
« on: February 02, 2014, 10:52:34 AM »
On the plus side, qualifying will probably be more exciting than the actual race.

Yes................I'm traveling 300 miles to the nearest track to watch qualifying.............then I'm headed home. :o

Do you think the "new chase" motivates the drivers and owners to win more now than they did in years past???
Is the "new chase" going to propel Danica to the front of the field???

IMO, NASCAR has and always will be about consistancy throughout the season............and the team (meaning the entire organization) thats does it best for 36 races should be the Champions.
So............................ I say to Little Brian and his NASCAR elite...................................            Aussie, Aussie, Aussie.............V8 Supercars....... :-*

Under Brian's "new" Chase format, Dale Jr. would have been the 2013 Sprint Cup champion. He didn't even win a race in 2013. Just think about that for a few minutes.

Conspiracy............. :-\

How about a 36 race season, where the most consistant points winner is crowned champion.
and.......... only those that qualify, running 3 laps by themselves , with the fasted lap time, actually race.

Oh.............nevermind...........that is so old school. ::)

Another question would be:

What happens if there is an on-track "incident" during Round One?

I am sure there will be the "Jeff Gordon Whine Rule" somewhere in the fine print.
