NASCAR Talk! / Fantasy Nascar 2018?
« on: February 10, 2018, 12:39:08 PM »
Yahoo ended Fantasy Nascar along with a couple other sports. Is there a plan to use another website this season, or is it a no go?

I may have a little time to set something up at Fox or a different website if there's any interest.

Oklahoma has been pretty mild this winter, but the wind chill has been in the teens this morning. It was 70 yesterday and predicted to be about 25 or so today. That's Oklahoma though!

I'm looking forward to seeing how this turns out. Hopefully they'll race fairly hard at the end at least. After a few months of down time in the Nascar world, I'm starting to get the Daytona itch. Haha!

NASCAR Talk! / Re: Kahne to drive for Leavine Family Racing in 2018

Kahne has been my favorite since I started watching about a decade ago, and I'll stand by him this season as well. He's had a really solid racing career, but it's been a pretty odd one to say the least. He's always seemed to do more with less and less with more, so maybe 2018 will be a surprise for fans. I'm happy to see him in a ride first and foremost, and maybe he'll bring some positive attention to the 95 and Leavine Family Racing.

NASCAR Talk! / Re: William Byron to drive #5 cup car in 2018 for Hendrick

It's pretty cool that Elliott will be in the 9 next season. He has a great future, although it's fairly surprising he hasn't won a Cup race yet. Many will come I'm sure.

I just keep wondering what's going to happen to Kasey Kahne moving forward. At one point, he was as popular as anyone outside of Jr. and maybe a couple others. He never lived up to the hype at Hendrick, but surely he'll find a Cup ride in 2018. I'm hoping he ends up in the 77 Furniture Row car next to Truex Jr. if the team returns. I just have a feeling Kahne may end up at Stewart-Haas though, but that's just a hunch.

There are several good drivers with a cloudy 2018 status right now. Crazy.

I was happy Stenhouse won. He's been pretty good at several races this season, and it's always nice to see a fresh winner at a really good track.

The last 10 or 15 laps were pretty exciting, and I'm glad I watched!

That sounds intriguing, but it kind of made my head spin trying to read all the stipulations and rules. Haha.

I'm still not sold he's done for good, but if he is, good for him! He had a pretty good career, and like you said, he won plenty of money along the way.

Good luck to Carl Edwards in 2017 and beyond. He was one of my favorites, and I'll miss seeing that victory backflip.

I'm in again! I always seem to start off well and then forget a couple times and fall off the pace. Maybe I'll stick with it all season in 2017!

It's only a few days away now! It can't get here soon enough!

I've seen it in the $1.20's this week.  I'm definitely taking advantage when I can, haha!

I've never been a big Tony Stewart fan, but it's a shake he won't get to try one more time to win the race that's alluded him his entire career. I hope he gets healthy and makes a little late-season run at least.

Speaking of Fantasy NASCAR, has anyone here ever been in a league where you have a draft a team before the season and keep them the entire year (like Fantasy Football and other sports)?  I've always wanted to do that kind of league too, but I don't know of any out there.

I'm definitely excited for the new season to start.  I don't stop by this place often enough during the season, but I'm going to try to do better in 2016.  Hopefully others will visit more as well.

I filled up for $1.36 a gallon a couple days ago in Lawton, Oklahoma!  That's a beautiful thing for sure!

I'm in again!

I started super well last year, but I used up my great options in the lower tiers too early and ran out of steam. I didn't win, but I had the lead awhile.  Haha

It took Joey Logano a little while to settle in, but he's a legit Championship contender now. Do y'all think Elliott will be successful sooner than Logano or about the same time frame?

I definitely started to wonder when Kasey Kahne signed a new contract through 2018.  Chase Elliott is on the fast track to the big time, and now we know where he will fit in starting in 2016.

I've never been the biggest Jeff Gordon fan, but his legacy isn't in question whatsoever.  He will go down as one of the greatest of all time.  He's done things with style, and he's done things with class.  I'm glad he'll still race a little part time after 2015, and I hope he gives fans one more good run at the title this year.

I'm in this year! It's been a few years since I've joined one, so hopefully it doesn't get too ugly. I'm looking forward to it.
