Don't be afraid.
I think she will do fine in Nationwide.
But at 42yrs old............she will be a short-timer.

3 or 4 years to build up some retirement money.

Looks like activity has taken a fall, but who's to say it won't recover?

I think it mirrors the sentiment of NASCAR as a whole.
It just hasn't been the same since Little Brian took over.
I have said many times, the Cup series looks more like IROC now days.
There are ways to make it more exciting, but Little Brian is not smart enough to listen.
Oh well............ :P

M&M's might just decide to go with someone else next year.

I don't see M&M's leaving Joe Gibbs Racing.
The Mars Family has alot of the same beliefs that Joe Gibbs has.

I do see them switching to Matt Kenseth though................
Matt has the family image that M&M's promotes.

Yes Cab................. I am brand loyal, not driver loyal.
M&M's forever  :-*
With that being said, "What The Hell Are They Thinking"?  >:(

I'm sure this is more about Ky. Busch's already established relationship with Monster than M&M's wanting Edwards.
My guess is:
JGR, not wanting to lose M&M/Mars sponsorship, looked at the sponsorship $$$$$ and got the best driver they could afford.  :o
I think they should have dug a little deeper.............IMO.  ;)

Edwards wins Sonoma  :-[
Table for 1 at the Crow's Nest please........  ;D

My notes and facts:
If you have a chance to go to Sonoma............. do it!!!
You will absolutely love it.
The TV does not do this track justice with the elevation changes and close racing.

Signholder, you still rootin for M&M's car?

As a collector of M&M's Candy Memoribila, I am brand loyal, not driver loyal.
Besides..............you can barely read the drivers name over the door on the diecast.  ;D
Maybe.............just maybe..........we can start getting M&M's with our Subway sandwiches.............. it's a thought  8)

My first thought, with the talk of Carl going to M&M's car.....Signholder, you still rooting for M&M's?

Silly season predictions in May  :o...................I love it!!!

I can see Cousin Carl going to Gibbs, but I can't see Biffle leaving Roush.
Edwards is a driver. He is only going to look out for himself to cut the best deal (short sited).
His retirement in the next few years will fade away silently.

Biff on the other hand is a loyal, team oriented, long-term thinker.
I see him retiring with Roush and moving into the administrative side, team development (scout) looking for the next "hot young" driver to continue the Roush legacy.
Company Man all the way.

My 2 cents (which ain't worth much today)  ;)

I think the press release was just a warning for the track crews.  :o
Jet Dryers............. You have been warned. ;)

NASCAR Talk! / Re: 2014 Racing so far has been......
« on: April 22, 2014, 10:47:10 AM »
I have been pleased (not excited) with this years racing.
Close finishes, different winners and good schedule.

But............(and you knew there would be one)
I can't help but think it's "IROC" racing at the NASCAR cup level.
All the rules packages, car templates and overall regulation is still (IMO) holding back the true innovation of the sport.
Not to mention the "Chase" is rigged to the big $$$$ teams.
What set this sport apart from the others back in the day was consistancy over the entire season is what was the making of a true champion.
As it stands now, if you are injured, sick or have a family emergency and miss a race or two, but dominate the races you are in, you still can't be crowned champion.
Gone are the days that a team overcomes adversity throughout the season and goes home at the end of the year knowing they were the best overall, not just the last 10 races.

So, I am pleased but not excited.
